Giving tips to creators is a great way to support creators for their work.
On Fanlist, if a creator has tipping enabled, fans can take part in giving tips on the creator's fan page.
There are 2 types of tips fans can give: message tips and general tips.
Message Tips
These tips are given on the "inbox" tab, and their tied to individual messages. Most fans would leave a tip on their own message, but you can also leave a tip on another fans message. Either way, all tips go to the creator.
Adding a tip to your message is a great way to get the creator's attention for your message.
To give a message tip, click on the little dollar icon, which opens a popup with suggested tip amounts. You can either select one of the suggested amounts, or enter your own custom amount.
Once you submit a tip, the creator will get an email notification of your tip, and you'll receive an email confirmation. Your tip amount will also appear next to the tips icon.
Once you leave a tip, there are no refunds. For any disputes, please contact the creator for support.
General Tips
These tips are given on the "tips" tab. This is a great way to appreciate the creator and support their work.
To give a general tip, go to the "tips" tab on a fan page, and select one of the suggested tip amounts, or enter your own custom amount.
You can optionally include a message with your tip. You can always edit your message after you submit it.
Once you submit a tip, the creator will get an email notification of your tip, and you'll receive an email confirmation. You tip, along with your optional message, will be displayed in the list of tips on the tip tab.
Creators and their staff will have an opportunity to reply to your tips.
Once you leave a tip, there are no refunds. For any disputes, please contact the creator for support.
